About Me
I am a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Coastal Carolina University. I earned my Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Connecticut in 2015. My research is in the philosophy of time and my current projects focus on whether time is fundamental or emergent and the role that the concept of time plays in our understanding of other foundational concepts such as freedom, causation, life, and death. At Coastal, I primarily teach Business Ethics, Logic, and Introduction to Philosophy. Previously, I have taught Philosophy of Time; Identity, Life, and Death; Philosophical Foundations of Human Rights; Metaphysics; Ethics; and Comparative Philosophy.
